Adaption Set AS:
The adaption set AS increased
the service altitude of the "Bf 109 G". This changing took place as well
at the front aerodromes as well in the repair workshops at the Messerschmidt
and Erla facilities.
This adaption set contained
the installation of the "DB 605 AS" engine, the "Erla-canopy", changings
at the paneeling and an enlargement of the vertical fin.

Assembly Set "trop":
For usage in the Mediterian
region and especially in the desert of Northern Africa, the "Bf 109" was
fittet with the assembly set "trop", to get ready with the conditions in
hot and dusty regions. This was made by the manufacturer. The differences
to the "normal" production series, the "trop"-versions got various dust
covers, a noticeable sand-filter on the air charger, ventilation openings
for the canopy, fittings for sun-shade, a carbine, special covers and an
emergency equipment.
This emergency equipment
contained, a rucksack, sandals, a tent, a first-aid box, signal flares,
ammunition for the carbine and three bottles of water, besides emergency rations.
